There are two main types of diets. The first is a low carb, high fat, ketogenic diet, or keto for short. The second is a low carbohydrate diet, also known as clean eating or the paleo diet. Both have advocates, but the ketogenic diet has more scientific evidence backing it.
The ketogenic diet is a popular weight loss diet that restricts carbs and calories, and instead focuses on high-fat, low-carb and moderate protein foods. Ketosis is a state where your body produces ketones in the absence of carbohydrates, leading to weight loss.
